FREE Therapeutic Gardening Course

Join us at Growers Row Shared Garden on the outskirts of Oakham for a pleasant and relaxing, free gardening course.

Growers Row offers a range of horticultural opportunities with raised beds, key-hole gardens, fruit trees, wildflower meadow, and polytunnel.  There are also peaceful places to sit, chat, and enjoy refreshments which are provided.  

This course covers
  • Garden maintenance
  • Harvesting crops/food
  • Safe use of tools
  • Use of water
  • Co-operation in a shared garden
  • Using the garden as a place to relax, unwind and restore
  • Using The 5 Ways to Wellbeing to reflect on how being in the garden can support our feelings of wellbeing

Participants receive a course log book to record their learning and achievements and a certificate upon completion.

1pm - 3pm Wednesdays, running throughout the year. Open to adults of all ages and abilities.  Transport can be arranged.
